Christmas in Tim Yung

Christmas this here was in a small indian Village called Tim Young (not sure on the spelling). We had been invited by Bennet Joseph to his family village. This village had six family shacks with great family and friends and great indian food for lunch. A christmas dinner to remember

Take away malaysian Style.

Fast Food Malaysian Style.. We went tot he night market this week and got this for ourselves.. great food and real cheap.. This is something we are going to miss..

Seremban Market Again

The Seremban Market is becoming my favourite Market, It is Clean and the food Upstairs is fantastic. the place is freindly as well. Jennifer has her favourite stalls as well. Places she get her treads and stuff. We are now averaging getting to the market at least once a month..

Gemma-ann's primary Class.

This is a phoot I took of Gemma Ann and her Class.. Only two and sometimes three. But still Great Kids..

Farewell Number one

We went to a Farewell for Me and Wee Hing by the Bestshore team. The Specilists from the team wanted to say farewell as I'm not expecting from the Company. We went to the Coconut Flower Seafood restuarant in Klang. There was Crab, Fish, Prawns, Chicken for Lissa and much more. Great Food and great Company. And the Kids enjoyed themselves as well..

Lissa in KL

Yes Lissa has arrive OK. in KL. The family seem complete now... but Davin is in Chch NZ so we're still one down. But his tickets have been booked and paid for, so we'll get to meet up in NZ after all. 7 weeks to go in Malaysia and time seem to have stood still.

Dentist almost done

Well I almost have had my teeth finish. Now Jennifer wants me to have more done. the new ones looks so good, that they are showing the two bad ones in the back. so I'm getting them done too. Still for the same price of RM600 each that about NZ$220 each.

Lissa graduates

Yes, Lissa has graduated from Church College of New Zealand.. That’s two of the kids and with the school closing down. Means the last as Stephan will not be able to go there.. but we're heading to Melbourne and hopefully better schools for him..

Mekong Delta.

Yes we got down to the Mekong Delta, got to see a quick tour of some of the River Islands. I would have liked to have spent more time there but it was raining. but I still got some good Photo's

Saigon or HCMC

This place was not as good as they make it out to be. A lot of french architecture and some markets but it seems to have gotten stuck in the 70's. Not an era I liked. But at least I found the Markets..

Hue

Hue another large city in Vietnam. it had a lot of history but the wars have destoryed a lot of it. But the food was great..

Hoi An - my kind of place

Hoi An is in the middle of Vietnam It was a major port for 1200 years but 200 years ago the river silted up. So the town stopped growing and nothing new went in. but now the only thing growing are the Hotels. It was a mix of many cultures but the markets were fantastic.

Problem of Too many Photo

problem how do you sort out 2100 photo's from a one week trip. Easy chose your favourites. problem two, how do you chop your favourite 300 photo's do to 20 or so for a blog. Decision has been to put the ones that are not in the tourist brouchers so over the next few days i'll try and add so of interest.

Vietnam Halong Bay

Halong Bay is about three drive out of Hanoi. It is one of the 7 wonders of this world. Even though it was very cloudly and smog had drifted across it was beautiful. Photo are the boats in Halong and the second prove that jennifer got her feet wet..

Vietnam Hanoi

The Vietnam trip one one never to forget. Shop of all sizes ans shapes, from Bamboo Ladder stores to Lunch on the run.. This is a place that supermarkets will never compete in.

Bad day at the Dentist

generally I have had a bad week. Work after coming bcak from the Holiday has been very busy. On tuesday night while chewing one of the Vietnsmese sweet a large filling fell out and left me with big hole in my tooth but not much pain. So wednesday Moring I went to the dentist. after some drilling and poking. he turned round a said the tooth was dead and it had to come out. RM25 later I am down one tooth. But he promises me he can do a bridge for it for RM1400 in two month when it has settled down. But this Saturday, I back in the Dentist to get the last of the Caps done and Jennifer is getting one of her Caps done. All up Four teeth to be capped for RM2200.. Lets see of NZ can do that.

back from Vietnam

Yes. we are back from a Fanatastic trip to Vietnam. Still trying to catch up on sleep as it was all go from start to finish.. I have lots of pictures and over the next two wweks I'll put some on the page for you..

KLCC at night

KLCC comes to life outside at night, it is a place to gather for the young and older.. the fountains are nice and the towers are bright. and the park secure. great place to be in the evening.

Chow Kit Market

Chow kit market is one of the oldest Market in KL but is sadly on the downward spiral. Lots of food and a little clothes, but not much else.. Very disappointing for a marketeer like me.

KL mono Rail

We got to go the Mono Rail again, this time on route to Chow Kit market. the speed and convenice is good and one come every 10 minutes.

Philippines trip KIDS

Got this picture while in the city centre and school had just come out.

Intramuros Cathedal

While in the Philippines we went to the Intramuros Cathedal. Outside was not special but Inside it had lots of fine stain glass windows. They were also easy to take picture with when the ISO is set at 1800.

Philippines trip St Francis

This little Church sits in the middle of a major intersection and is hidden under an impressive statue.

Philippines trip trraffic

The Philippines trip had a prupose, to get to the temple. But getting there is the first task. Manila is one of the most poluted city in the world. the traffic is the major cause of it. The smell of smog sticks to you and the noise from the horns is unbearable, at least the Jeepneys were interesting..

Elephant Conservation Centre Again.

Now that Gemma-ann is he we decide that to go the Elephant conservation centre again. Gemma-Ann had missed out last time as she had flown out a week earlier. So this time we went prepared and we set to enjoy ourselves. Which we did. We feed the elephant, rode the elephants and both Dad and Stephan Swam with the elephants. Even Mum joined in. A great day out and a do something Gemma-ann wanted to do.
