Windsor at Christmas

Eton Cathedral View from Windsor.  The real Picture Slough in the back ground.      Windsor Castle, is a great but at Christmas inside it has added zing. Only issue is you can't take pictures.  This is of course where Harry and Meghan get married next year.

Eton in the Morning

Jennifer had a lot of Exams to mark and I need an early morning walk.  So off to Eton in the early morning.  The morning light was interesting  The school was light beautifully.  The old building looked majestic.  Some of the Homes were looking great too. A great walk and the light was interesting.

Stowe Gardens

Stowe Gardens - The house is a private School - this English Heritage Site is special. It is one of the Old Pre-Victorian Gardens  Home of the Duke of Buckingham   It was Winter and the rain was falling but that just meant we had to keep moving. The Covered Bridge was the first stop to get  out of the rain The summer house has been converted to a Flat. So we couldn't go in.    The Pagan Statues for the days of the week were interesting.  Then Onto the temple. The Venus temple with a view.. Another shelter from the rain.  With sheep of an unknown breed.  We found the Heros wall.  Jennifer staudy the names and moved on quick, it had started to rain again.  Quickly across the bridge to the Temple of the Gods.  Where we sheltered for the storm.  With the gods of course.  Before setting off to the house.  We went into the visitor center...

Harrods for Christmas shopping

On our Way Home we went to Harrods to check out the windows and food. The theme was of course Harrods The harrods over the ages and working in the store. But once inside for me it was the food. But Jennifer was interested in the Christmas decorations. The Christmas Store had small and large Decorations, all over priced but beautiful. But once out of there we went back to the food to chose something that  could be afternoon dessert. We chose a fruit Tart for two.
