Barwon Heads - a small visit to explore

Barwon heads is about an hours drive from home This little town reminded me of the seaside towns in New Zealand. We stopped for brunch, and ice cream and Jennifer purchase some fabric.  The Harbour beach looked like it had it all, calm patches  Pools to explore And sand for kids to play.  We drove out to watch the surfers enjoying the waves before heading home.

Werribee Zoo - day out in the sun

We purchase yearly tickets in go tot he local zoo's So on Saturday, we thought, why not.   The theme for the zoo is the Rhino's They have a breeding herd The Arabian Oryx was on show as well But it was this big Rhino that had the show The sun was bright and Jennifer had her sun hat on even in the open air wagon's  It's call the Werribee Open Range Zoo so the animals can move around and mix freely. A pleasant Morning on a sunny day.

The Bushfire Smoke

The Smoke on Sunday night left us with a red glow.  So we had a red star  By Monday morning the smoke was thick in the city. This was at 08:00 in the morning, Sunrise had been at 6:05 By 10:00 it hadn't changed,  It was to stay like this until Wednesday afternoon when it started to rain Not much but hopefully enough to clear the smoke. So right now, it's a mix of Rain and Smoke. Lets pray for those in the heart of the bushfires...

Melbourne Zoo with Abbey and BJ.

BJ and Abbey are on Holiday with us for a week. So Abbey wanted to see the Zoo. So off we went to the Zoo. Lemurs were the first to be seen.  Monkeys were next  Pigmy Hippo was out and enjoying the sun  Lizards were also out and about. This guy was not very happy.  The Tiger was not happy either as it was pacing side to side. The turtles were out in the sun. but we made it to the butterfly house. And the Butterflies were out in abundance.  With the gardens bloomings away for them  Abbey just wanted one to land on her, and she got her wish. They didn't even notice one was on Jennifer as well.  The elephants looked bored.  This lizard was very slow-moving. But the picture of the day was the Meerkat as we were leaving
