Mt Dandenong Ranges

Mt Dandenong Villages are made up of four villages, Kalorama, Mt Dandenong, Olinda and Sassafras Since the storms, The roads between the Villages always have works somewhere on them. But today I saw a photo on facebook that show us at it best. This is why I live here.

Working Hard in the garden

Due to finsihing my contract with VicRoads, I now have a little bit of time to start working in the garden This means that Jennifer finally gets me to work on her projects. First was the new Vegetable garden under the Bronze Birch Tree Tomorrow I go off to get the wood for the raised beds.  It's ready to progress.

Nara in the Truck

Nara is getting use to the truck now. She still has issues trying to get in due the fact she still not tall enough, but getting in the truck means we're going somewhere new or going for a walk.  She has also learnt , that if she stays down, she doesn't move from side to side. She watches us all the time.

Evelyn turns One

Normally we would do all we could to be at Evelyn's birthdays Party. But Dubbo went into Lockdown and so was Victoria. So her first Birthday went by very quietly. She is growing up so fast. Roll on next YEAR. We'll be there.

Nara out for a walk along at the

Nara and myself went for walk today somewhere different. Many of the path are still closed becuase of damage from the storm. Well RJ Hamer Arboretum - Gardens Of The Dandenong is still very much closed We went for a walk along one track. we jump a few small tree's , but a kilometre in the walk we came across a bigger obsticle . These were a bit bigger. Oh well, still a lot of work to go.

The strom results

The storm in June has taken a lot of effort to cleanup . Some of the mess is still being worked on. Just up the street is Bill's place. Bill was not hurt on the night of the storm, but he still not returned to his house. the damage makes it unliveable. It's scenes like this that I feel we were so blessed in not being tocuhed .

Nara out for a Walk

I was out walking Nara this morning in the Silvan forest, which is just below us. It wasn’t affect by the storm so much It was quiet and peaceful Just the two of us and the flicks of forest wrens around us.
