Farm Shop Hooping

The day started with a walk to Windsor.

 

Walking through Datchet early in the morning

 Walking across the southern lines when no car or trains were running

 The back paths along the thames path 

 Getting so great shots

 Across the river was the Royal Windsor farm.

 But I found an old bridge and barge path.

 Sawns feeding on a crop

 And doing lots of damage.

 But it was the mornign light that gave the views.

 Of the Thames.

 I got to Windsor Farm shop to early.

although the gate was open for the delivery trucks.

Past Frogmore House and Gardens

 Once in Windsor I got the cakes from Madam Posh and headed home, 20K Steps

 20K Steps for my Morning walking.

Once Home we set off for the farmhops. 

 

Peterley Manor Farm

Then to the next one

 This little one was Little.

It was suppose to be interesting. Yah Right

Then onto the next one. 

We found this little one called

We were hungery and got some Bacon and Lunch.

Big Breakfast Burger that was full of smoked Bacon and Pork Sausages

while Jeinnfer had a Beef Burger, 

with a Pattie that embrassed the comerical fast food places with the size of it. 

 This place had rare breeds of Sheep and Pigs

So off we went again, this time to Q Gardens farm shop

 Mince Pie Ice Cream

We found ourselves not far from Saddleback again.

So we went back their for hot chocolates.

Six Farm Shops in One day.

Great Day out seeing the great outdoors 

and avoiding the malls before Christmas.

White Horse Hill

White Horse Hill was a drive by, we were running late and the weather was cold.

But it was not as impressive as we had been lead to believe.

Saddleback Farm Shop

Saddleback Farm shop is on the road between Donnington Castle and the White Horse Hill

We passed it and decided to pop in and see what was there.

This delightful little farm shop was dream.

I purchased a wild pheasant, vegetables, jam and chutney.
It even had a herd of wild deer nearby.

We will be back.

Donnington Castle

Donnington Castle is located on the way to Liz's place.

We popped in there on the way to what was great Sunday Beef Roast Dinner.

Donnington Castle is a ruined medieval castle, situated in the small village of Donnington, just north of the town of Newbury in the English county of Berkshire. It was founded by Sir Richard Abberbury the Elder in 1386 and was bought by Thomas Chaucer before the castle was taken under royal control during the Tudor period. During the First English Civil War the castle was held by the royalist Sir John Boys and withstood an 18-month siege; after the garrison eventually surrendered, Parliament voted to demolish Donnington Castle in 1646. Only the gatehouse survives.

The visit was cold and damp, so we were quick. and kept on moving.

The Big Chill 2017

Snow and lots of it. 

On Saturday Night the place went white

 Home was covered Nicely.

And the trees in the looked like Christmas had  come early.

The car of course weren't going anywhere

 The tree out the front had even changed shape because of the Snow

Then a Dash Home as I was getting cold.
