Cirencester

Cirenchester give us a cold day and  chance to catch up with Liz and Adrian  So we didn't walk around much, we had lunch in a nice restaurant  After we went into the St John Baptist Church built in the 11th Century and still had a lot of the original Works. This is a lovely Church

Kensington Place - The Favorite

 Kensington Palace had a display on so of we went The show was the costumes for the movie called "The Favorite"  Jennifer was enjoying the show and the location She, of course, enjoyed the Displays a lot

London and Valentines Dinner

On Friday I had to go into London for work. So I decided to take Jennifer, we walked the Southbank walk again and end up at a Resturant called Strada. It times like that, that I realize I have the wonderful woman for eternity. London at Sunset is a special time. Inside the restaurant, we go to see the view from on 2 stories up. When we finished the wonderful meal we went home past The Tower of London and enjoyed the Thames at Night.

Powis Castle

Powis Castle is the estate of the Clive Family in Welshpool. It is still lived in, so No photo's on the inside. They Loved India from many generations back and introduce peafowl to the UK. Large statues abounded as well as Door Knockers that were unique The inner courtyard was built for defense and privacy. The view from the  house was amazing It was still a Castle. and in the gardens, it had cute statues as well. The orangery is actually set into the hillside below the castle. BUt what a view to enjoy on a sunny day.

Chester Round Two

Finally, for the Day, we got to Chester. The first time was a quick in and out to check out the walls. This time to check out the town. So we parked the car and walked into the town Once in the Town, we got to see the Tutor store Chester is Famous for. It was very crowded with Tourists after a quick look into  town, we went to the Cathedral With its large brown stone corrindors The peace gardens were quiet This was large Catherdral it was bigger on the inside than the outside. Most of the Windows were still intact. The walls still had Mosiacs on them. The cloister now a cafe. The ceiling was restored wood  done in the 1890s We got the priviliage of being able to listen to boys choir singing and it was beautiful. Once again outside we got to see the entire building. Ageing with time. Back into the street, we started looking for Dinner And we found most places were full of tourists. So we had ...

Durham House

Durham House was a disappointment. The inside of the house was closed. So we only got to explore the outside And have lunch in the Large stable block. The house was a very large one. Four stories high with the servants quarters underground. It was once the playground of the rich of Manchester With a Very large garden with a lake. The gardener loved his Irises.
