Friday, the end of Week again,

Friday I have found for the recruiter's shutdown on Friday afternoons. So the emails and calls stop early. But this doesn't stop me.

 The Morning had started with great views of London from the Thames

 It was overcast and the weather was closing in, but I am in London.

So Lunchtime came, and as expected the emails stopped and the calls stopped.

So I hit the streets again, this time I decided to walk along the Thames embankment.

 I found Cleopatra's Needle, this amazing lump of stone has is very impressive, and it has a very large history.

 then Across the River and headed home. Time to do housework.

But not without visiting the Southwark Cathedral

 The Place had always been closed when I came through each time. This was the place the Harry Iggulden went for church each day when he owned the Horseshoe Inn.

 This is a beautiful small catherdal that is tucked away and not mention much.

But it was off back to what is becoming home in Bermondsey.

 But I'm in London.

Thursday 20th. time to relax.

Thursday was becoming a busy day with calls. But still No job.

 Breakfast was a small egg roll from the Asian Bakery on Bow Lane.

 And at Lunchtime, I walked to Exmouth Road Market. The Market only has about 10 Vendors so it was disappointing

 But I found this one Tartiflette de Savoie is a french potatoe dish

 And it looked great and tasted Great.

On the way back to the Library, the view just reminded me, just how close I was to the city.

Wednesday 19th - Quiet day on the Job front. Temple Church.

After answering email and making calls I was finished by 12:30.

So off to Spitalfields Market again, this time early enough to see the market in full sale mode.

 It a well cover market with lots of well organised stalls aimed at the tourists

 With plenty of good food stalls.

 Today, it was a London Box. 2 Salads - Brown Rice and pulled chicken cooked in pomegranate juice.

 Most of the Stalls are Clothing or Book stalls. Jennifer would love this market.

After getting back to the Library , I finished the day early.

 So it was another shot at getting the Temple Church.

 This time the yard was open.

But it was still closed for the private service.

Monday and Tuesday 17th -18th

It has started to Quieten down as the hunt for work, as a routine has developed.

My day starts with Walking through the grounds of St James, Along Jamaica Road, and into Queen Elizabeth Street, Where you will find a small area of London called Horseleydown. It was a place that I could find on the map and we have ancestors ( Mary Elizabeth Gunn was Born around here).

 It is a Large Magnificent Statue.

Through the Back Streets on the South Bank walkway.

Past Tower Bridge which most mornings looks glorious.

Passed Southwark Cathedral  (where Harry Still went to church)

 

Passed this through Borough Market. 

I walk along the Thames to Southwark Bridge and then Upto through the City

 

 And finally into the City Business Library

My Home during he day 

It is quiet and Peacefull

Has Free Wifi.

And is handy to launch into the Cities Attractions.

Today it was Spitalfield Market

More on that Tomorrow.

But today it was Duck Salad and Duck Fat Chips with a Drink for £10

 The Only difference on the way home is the Big chinook helicopters, to send travelers home.

 Only in London do they fly these big Helicopters to nearby Cities.

Sunday 16th - A quiet Day with Rain.

 Across the Road from the Hyde Park Chapel for Church is the London Science Museum. SO I headed for the Aircraft.

 With Numerous Models on the development of Flight.

 But the Main show was the Real planes hanging or on the ground. Most you could touch.

 The Hurricane

But I was here.. and the Rain had Stopped.

 So Hyde Park was ready visit.

Tufted Duck

 Egyptian Geese

Great Crested Grebe

 

 and of course the Greylag Goose

 The Princess Diana Fountain Memorial

All around lake Serpintine, But it was Looking Like it was going to Rain Again.

 So Harrods I was off too.

 Amoungst all the department I decided that the food courts were where I wanted to be.

 Olives

 Cheese

Lots of Cheese

 Pies

 Lots of Pies.

 

Vegetables

 Fish

 Bakery

 Meat

 And exotic Meats, yes they had Kangaroo.

And the prices weren't that much more expensive then in other shops just very well presented.

So I thought What would Jennifer Like

 The book Store of course with so many books

But it had to be the Christmas Land, all the different decorations you can buy.

 And if Jennifer were here, I insist on the getting the Credit Card off her. 

Just so that I didn't need a container to be shipped back.

 But I was at Harrods, where I caught Bus Home.
