Dorney Wetlands

Today was a beautiful and bright sunny summers day, and Jennifer was down sick, So I went for long walk.
The berry fruit flowers were in full bloom
And the Jubilee River was smooth and inviting.
The walkways were clear of almost anyone as well.

The wheat in the surrounding field you could almost hear growing.
Along the way, there were many weirs

With lot sof birds taking advantage of the fine weather.
Surprisingly the Wetlands, didn't have that much birds, it's nesting time here.
You could see some of the Geese and Swans.
Once thier, I relaxed and took in the air and sun.
From there I went to Dorney Court. Unfortuanately the house was closed.
It was still an impressive house and gardens
The Walled gardne has been made into a farm shop and garden centre
The flowers were out and looked glowing in the sun
 The poney's looked good
 as well as the impanients
 great crop of spuds too.
The shop was a letdown and small, not much stuff for sale,
they were more interesed in the cafe next door
Once back in Dorney, I got to realise this place is very old.
most built in the 1600's.
Of course, most had been restored and worht a fortune.
I cut across the Dorney Common and  walk up the stream into Eton Wick.
once past Eton Wick, I walked on a public path through a bailey field.
And got a chance to check out the Old Eton Wick Road chapel.
This beautiful Chapel was built in 1844, but looks older. This is where the merchants of Eton/Windsor were buried.
