Next stop on the Welsh Tour was Tredegar House, The Gills had made the empire close to home in Newport, with the fingers in a lot of pies, until the last generations spent all the money. But it is the outer buildings that make this special, three set of Stables, One for the house horses, One for the Estate, and one for the Township businesses. In all enough rooms and stables for 150 Horses.
This One is for the house horses.
This from the Business Stables.
This is the Estate Stables
The gates are impessive
So are the floors
And the stables are large for the large horses.
But it the building themselves. Great woodwork on their own.
The little orrangary
And small gardens
As for insside the house. Not much can be seen as the last duke spent it all.
