Bruge P4

After the Curise we went for a walk towards the Chapels
Is was the impressive architecture that we couldn't get enough of.

Like statues onthe bridge that have been there for 100's of Years
but it was the "Church of the Lady" that was the target
But getting there was half the fun.
inside there was modern stuff that was only 100 years old.
and restored walls that show stuff that Michelangelo would have seen.
this is 13th Century church that was not touched during the war, except for the stuff that was plundered.
the chapel itself is conservative in appearance until
get furthur inside
Then the artwork improves considerably.
most of the windows were damaged during the war,
so they are masters of work as well.
But the Alter Pieces were the master peice
but we were hunting something else.
not the Gothic roof.
nor the 16th century organ.
or the fancy Alter peice.
or old Guys graves.
although the artwork was special.
ok very special
or the restored artwork hidden by paint.
But we were here to see Michelangelo's Madonna and Child.

yes of course it had Security and they would let us take picture of them.
but what a place for master piece like that.

Once back outside we headed back to car that was about 3 miles away..
and enjoyed the sights
like staues in the walls to mark where special people had lived..
Once back at the car. we headed home in Amsterdam
A long narrow roads
Along beautiful cannels
Across Narrow Bridges
and Jennifer have fun with my Camera.
But what roads!
