Day 7 - Theater Day

Day 7 - Last of the all out to do as much as we could do. It was Theater Day. Shakespeare and the National. First Shakespeares Globe Theater. we arrived and jumped the queue again. Lots of school parties from around the word come to this one.
The tour went to the Theater and the guide knew her stuff. she even paused the tour let other group run ahead giving us clear pictures, This is a major tourist site and we enjoyed it.
The exhibition had lots of Costumes for Jennifer to study, We both enjoyed this one immensely.
The off to the National Theater. Nah, sorry you need to book two days in advance. The London Pass had not ward us of that, but the box office advances us that if we booked early it would be a small tour group, so Friday was booked.
So now what, Somerset house is just across the Thames. So off we went.
Somerset house is now offices and the site of the Fortnum and Mason Christmas store, as well and ice skating. Of course we didn' do ice skating. But we did some Christmas shopping... :-)
Attached is the Courtauld Gallery, Again No Photo's Allowed. Although I sneaked this one.
But full of painting I have heard about but never seen.
Somerset house must have been grand in its heydey.
A slow walk home, and the last of the busy day.
Tomorrow was a train trip into the countryside of Sorts.
