The Harry Potter Experience was book back in Eary Feb 2018
Finally, The morning of the day arrived and we were in for a treat.
The tour was to start at 9:30 morning we made sure we arrived just after 9:00
Better to be early than late.
From the onset of the entrance, we knew we were in for something special.
Massive welcomed us, this just tempted us for what was next.
First, we had to wait until it was our time to go in.
So we walked around the expensive shop looking at all the goodies

The smallest set was first, The little Stair and room Harry called home.
After a brief introduction of the movie history,
we were pushed in the Great Hall Entrance. And What a Great Hall
The sculptures are all made of Plaster of Polystene
But the Doors are real wood made to look old.
The floor was real slate.
The props for the all started with the school uniforms they wore.
The mass produced plates and dishes made for the feasts
But the hall was the feature
Each house was represented and displayed
The fireplace was real as it had to have a Custumesreal fire in it for filming.
Even the Costumes were displayed.
The tables are all one piece and need to be moved by special wheels
The stalls were light weight so that they could be
moved easily to help actors into them.
We were held in WOW for this Hall
130 Scenes are filmed in the hall during the movie.
Goblet of fire was made of wood, not clay.
The teacher's costumes were also on display.
Hagrid was the best for me, it shows just how large he had to be made up to be.
The great Hall empty, ready for the next tour party to roll in.
Next was all the props to be displayed
First the costumes for the Yule Ball
Jennifer was in her element.
Fake chocolate feast
Jennifer spent some time to check out the costume design and makers booth.
props like the Stairs that would swing across.
All the painting that had to be made
What about the Taps for the Great bathroom
Or the cauldron that would be at the tavern,
this set got 3 seconds and took an artist 9 months to produce.
Of course, the perspective they used filming perspective to make some sets.
The cloak of invisibility, was, of course, a green screen under it.
The Phoenix stairway actually works...
In cages, we got to see some of the hundreds of thousands of Props, like these Wands.
Dumbledore's Office was perfect setup as a hot set. Ready for filming to take place.
It was exactly as you would expect.
Jennifer loved the library in it.

The Magic Potion room was set up for display as well.
But it was a large Number of Painting,
We never noticed that the painting was changed out for each shot.
Hagrid's Hut was actually very small this was to make him look large in it.
Very little filming took place on the inside.
We weren't;t allowed to take pictures of the Broomstick flying
As they are on green screens
The original quitch balls as prop's
Hagrids Bike is now a collectible that is being reproduced by Enfield.
The Wesley home was set up as well. and had been beautifully displayed.
It was one of Jennifer Favourites.
In the Ministry of Magic area, it shows the amount of work needed for the is area
All the statues including this one.
All the tiles are fake of course but done very well.
Then through the impressive gates intot he forbidden forest
Jennifer pointed the way, she did not want to go in on her own. LOL
Hagrid was there to escort us.
the forest even had Mist going across it.
buckbeck was at his finest
But it was the spiders that made it interesting
Hogwarts Express has its own station now
It looked beautiful and obviously has a regular polish.
Jennifer had to push the trolley through the wall
No other railway sign means so much
Inside they had setup the different carriages space of time.
After Lunch at the Cafe, Jennifer Want a Bus ride.
This one is not allowed on the road.
Found she could get on but wasn't going anywhere
We went into 1 Privet Drive, and the front of the house was there
The crooked bridge was full size for filming
and The rest of the Chess Set were on display
including the powerful Queen
The hat make had fun, hundred of hats were made.
Of course the Alley was there
as was the house the Potters Died in.
We went through the artwork section slowly,
this was where the Ideas would come from for the sets.
They even made a statue for themselves,
But the artwork didn't show off what was around the Corner
But we came into the Model of Hogwarts. And WOW.
But it was the detail that they used.
this took 50 artists 4 years to maintain.
But it was the Detail that amazed us.
As for the finish, it was the credits
Each wand was a person that worked on the movie
and it is a huge Wand display.
SO WOW and WOW again.
Well worth the time, cost and effort
