Exeter

We left St Mawes, saying goodbyes and promising to be back. But we needed to be back on the road trip to Swindon. we stopped at Exeter for Petrol, Scenery and food. We found Church and Abby's, and old Builds. Petrol was very expensive,  twice the cost of Australia, and the Cornish Pastie's weren't that great. The Traffic as it was New Years Eve was also crazy, so we got out, back on the early.

St Mawes - Day two and John's Internment

This day had been planned as one of the Major reasons for coming to England. John Sayce had Died 9 Year early and had requested to be buried at St-Just-In-Roseland. We were finally here, and it was a beautiful day. Jennifer was on the phone early in the morning to her sisters and Gwen had planned the day around the internment as well. so After A Great cooked Breakfast from Gwen.  An early morning walk down on the foreshore of St Mawes, as the Day Rose. past the House of John Parents. Back to the Church for Johns Interment. we picked up Gwen and some of the Family to Join us.  The church was shrouded in mist but it was bright. The service was conducted by the Church of England Vicar, and was short. She knew we were members of the LDS church so shortened the service to make it appropriate. we Said a few words and laid John's ashes to rest. He is finally at peace in a beautiful place. Surprising for Jenny was the relief that he was now at rest in the beautiful ga...

St Mawes Trip Day one

On the Thursday it was time to go on the Road trip St Mawes,  so we were up early in the morning and on road, ice and mist almost everywhere. Once we had arrived and Jennifer's Aunty Gwens Place.  First, we went to St-Just-in-Roselands chapel to check out the site of Jennifer's Grandparnets graves, this was where John is to be interned, we quickly found the index and plot map.  The church is small little chapel tucked away in a bay with very nice old gardens set. It even still had it's Christmas tree on display. But it was the gardens that amazed me. IT did take long to find the grave in the gardens. And it was ready for Johns internment the following day. It was quick rush back to Gwens to meet Jane for the ST Mawes exploring walk.  On the Walk we found Freda and John P Sayces Bed and Breakfast.  The Ferry Ticket office where John P Sayce worked most days. But it was still St Mawes, this beaut...

Bath Part 2

Bath, part two, once we were out of the Romans Baths it was off to explore the rest of Bath.  So we went walking following the trail and listening to the audio tour.  When we got to the end we were at the assembly rooms. And on show was an exhibition of the of antique clothing,  One of the best display Jennifer has seen. Once we got out of Baths major traffic jam, we headed south to explore the area  that is Please St John, Radstock, Frome and Halcombe and finally going to Midsomer Norton to catch up and chat with Uncle Michael and Margaret. We went through the photo and almost all Michael had were one's I already had. It appears that during moves Photo's were lost. But he did have one of the Lewington Girls.
