We had gone down to Liz's for Christmas, but Christmas eve was to be a day out, just to be able let Liz do what she needed to.
So we planned the day out, Up early to Stourhead. across to Stonehenge and to finish at Lacock.
So taking Jennifer to Stourhead. was first up.
She loved it and could recall the Jane Austin Movies etc.
This is a memorable place.
It was cold and damp but that didn't stop us.
The views good and place was special.
Unfortunately the house was closed due to Christmas. But the shop was still open of course including the cheap ginger cordial with the long whiskers.
So once we had seen that it was off to Stonehenge, but it was closed. And the carf park was about 2 miles away. So off we went, or more to the point off Jennifer went.
We followed the rest of the disappointed crowd.
Only to find that we couldn't get close to it.
But I did get a good Photo, and a long walk back to the car.
But we can say we went there.
So once we got back it was off to the Lacock Abbey.
We got there just as the Banquet hall was closed. Bad luck for us. So we quickly walked around the abbey and got to see another place of history
Once out of the Abbey we went into the Village of Lacock. Most places were closed as it was Christmas Eve, but it was still a beautiful Village
But we still made back to Liz's Place for the great Christmas Eve Supper.
