Bruge P1

The holiday was to start with the finest first.
BRUGE, Belgium
We had hired a Car and we were off to see the sights.
First stop on Route was the town of Damme
With it Windmill and Belgium Heavy Horse for show.
This is beautiful Village right on Flanders Plain.
From there the Satnav said it was a straight drive to Bruge.
Once in Bruge, the road got very narrow and one way system existed.
It took us 20 minutes to find the parking building
First stop was the Bruge Museum.
Volkskundemuseum
The Museum showed the different trade the area was none for.
The Candy Shop ( Chocolate of Course)
The Barrel Maker for Wines
Toy Maker
Lace, Lace and more Lace of Course.
Suit Maker with  the Live Cat in the exhibit
And the carving etc.
Even this lovely Fireplace.
Now that was cute. but very functional.
After that we went to the Jeruzalemkerk Chapel.
This is family Chapel for and been around for centuries.
The chapel was separated into upper level and lower Level.
The rich Family met in the upper and lower level for the workers.
But it had the graves of the founding Family in the
middle to remind the people who built the chapel.
The windows we great works of art.
And the chapel proper was 12th Century
Sculptures
and ordainment
The roof was wired piece of work on it's own.
But what a place to worship the lord.
