Cambridge

Cambridge, England for a Day.
It was Raining but it was Saturday
We found a Car Park in a Mall and headed off,
Firts stop was Martket, to cold to be trying different things.
I sure the coolers didn't need to be turn on.
We quickly slipped into Great St Mary's Church
It had beautiful Windows of course but it was warm.

The seats were carved and ornate.
Once outside we headed West down Trinity Street

The target was Gonville and Caius College
This little university has lot of early carvings
tyhat haven't been destroyed by different monarchs
They were impressive
Inside the grounds we found we were in Cambridge elite.
Iwe moved through to the chapel as fats as possible, the rain was starting to be an issue.
This was one not many Tourist go too.
It's Beautiful Ceiling as different to what thew rest would be.
As for the Windows, Each had a story.
Once outside the Rain was till there.
So off down Trinity Street , looking at the little lanes.
This one is Trinity Lane.
Trinity College was the Target. Surrounded by Tourists.
And the Rain started to Pour again.
The tree is Newtons Apple tree of Course
Most tourist's didn't even notice the tree.
Once into Trinity College, we quickly headed to the chapel
The Chapel wasn't what I expected for great College as this.
The windows are of the great scholars that studied here.
No modern ones of course.
The grounds were as in the movies and were patrolled.
Outside the Chapel  was a wall with all the honored men that have died for the country.
Next we had to go out the side gate to get to the Wren Library
This library was one for Jennifer. NO Photo's allowed but the Library was magnificent.
But back  at Trinity College the Gates are large fortresses.
Not many Flowers but those they have are out in Bloom.
Punting of course was all umbrella's
The int the Back streets the get to Kings Collage and the great Chapel there.

And WOW, what a Chapel. Built for a King..
It was fine details I enjoyed
The off down the street to
Queens College
Through the Door to
Mathematical Bridge
After that was a quick tour of the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology

Before going to Christ's college, this is where Charles Darwin Studied.
Inside the
Christ's College chapel
Was a group of students preparing for a rehearsal.
Even though it was running Cambridge was a town worth a visit.
