Hawkshead is a small village between Hilltop and Wray Castle.
This where Beatrix Potters Husband had has office
William Heelis, a respected local solicitor from Hawkshead
They were only married for 30 Years. LOL
This beautiful village appears in many of her 23 Books.
It is also believed that the picture of Mr Mcgregor was of her husband.
He loved her dearly and let her do what ever she wanted to do.
