Day Five - Austria and Germany

Neuschwanstein Castle is the fairy Castle from
Chitty Bang Bang  and other movies
It was the target for the day. To drive across the
top of the Alps and cut across southern Germany
The castle was on the top hill was a lot higher
then we expected
The walk to the top took about an hour.
but once there, it was quick to walk around
we could see the castle on the outside but couldn't walk through it
as the ticket queue was very long, and we did not have the time
but the architecture was interesting
as it was recently built in the 1800s.
it was basically concrete blocks.
the views were also interesting looking at other castles
and lakes in the distance.
going back do we got to see the horse that hulled the lazy people up to the hills
They did the return trip every 40 minutes
The horses were just local nags but they had a hard job.
Back down at the bottom of the hill
we got to see the castle again.
so we were off to Munich to explore the town center.
Once in Munich, we searched for some churches that were in the city
We found few and they were all different.
Some had ceilings that had been painted

 Others with Plan facades
But it was St Peters that was the special one.
 To had some fine artwork.
 with Beautiful Doors
and modest color
But to finish the trip, it was pretzels Germany style.
Overall, we were now very exhausted.
looking for a break before the long trip back to Australia.
